Introduction to the Junos Operating System - ILO
This four-day course provides students with the foundational knowledge required to configure, verify, and troubleshoot devices that run Junos OS. Students will gain a wide variety of practical experience with using the command-line interface (CLI). The course focuses on routers and switches, and explains Layer 3 network interface basics, routing tables, static routes, OSPF, Layer 2 switchports, user accounts, firewall filters, routing policy, and troubleshooting. Particular attention is given to the power of the candidate configuration, rolling back changes, and the power of the Junos OS configuration hierarchy. The course also discusses the key architectural components of the software that powers Junos OS, the separation of the control plane and the data plane, and the reasons that Junos OS is built for automation. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring Junos OS and monitoring basic device operations. This two-day course provides foundational troubleshooting skills. In this course, students will learn to use common Junos troubleshooting commands and tools. This course will help students to acquire the skills needed to perform basic troubleshooting on Juniper devices. Students will learn to troubleshoot the control plane, the forwarding plane, and the secure the connection between the two planes from DDoS attacks. Students will also learn to troubleshoot common network services such as DHCP, DNS, and authentication services.

The course is based on Junos OS Release 22.3R1. Students will get hands-on practice using vMX Series, vSRX Series, and vQFX Series devices in the lab.

This three-day, advanced-level course provides students with the detailed knowledge required to design, configure, and troubleshoot every flavor of Layer 2 VPN available within Junos. The course begins with a refresher of the concepts behind VPNs and MPLS. The course then introduces each type of Layer 2 VPN in turn, such as BGP-signaled and LDP-signaled pseudowires, circuit cross-connect (CCC), VPLS, and EVPN. We’ve included use cases for each technology, along with elements of consideration when choosing an appropriate solution, and extensive clarification of technical terms that have multiple meanings. After this introduction, the course dives deep into each individual technology, offering extensive control plane and data plane explanations of how the VPN is built and maintained. After viewing a simple configuration, the student will learn how to monitor and troubleshoot the VPN, before moving on to some more advanced features of each VPN type. JNCIE-DC Hands-on Lab Exam

The Data Center track enables you to demonstrate competence with advanced data center technologies and related configuration and troubleshooting skills. JNCIE-DC is at the pinnacle of the data center certification track. The 1-day JNCIE-DC practical exam is designed to validate your ability to deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Junos-based platforms using both Juniper Apstra and the Junos CLI. Throughout the 6-hour practical exam, you will build a data center network consisting of Juniper Apstra and multiple Junos devices. You will perform system configuration on all devices including management capabilities, a Clos IP fabric, EVPN/VXVLAN, DCI, and CoS features. The JNCIE-DC certification is valid for three years. JNCIE-ENT Hands-on Lab Exam

At the pinnacle of the Enterprise Routing and Switching certification track is the JNCIE-ENT practical exam. This exam is designed to validate the networking professionals’ ability to deploy, configure, manage and troubleshoot Junos-based enterprise routing and switching platforms. Throughout this 6-hour practical exam, candidates will build an enterprise network infrastructure consisting of multiple routers and switching devices. Successful candidates will perform system configuration on all devices and configure protocols and features, such as IGPs, BGP, EVPN, Layer 2 features, routing policies, and class of service.
