About the Program
What is Networking Career Quick Start?
Juniper’s Networking Career Quick Start is a free, 10-week, online program with weekly, live
sessions led by Juniper subject-matter experts. The program content covers both the fundamentals
of the Junos operating systems as well as basic troubleshooting knowledge.
Over the course of the program, you will learn the necessary skills to take and pass the Juniper
Networks Certified Associate, Junos (JNCIA-Junos) certification exam. Upon completion of the
program, and associated certification, you will be equipped to apply for early career technical
support roles at Juniper Networks or with our large community of partners and customers.

What You'll learn
The Networking Career QuickStart program is a blend of self-paced learning and live, subject-matter expert-led webcasts. In this unique program you’ll learn both details about Juniper technologies and basics of Juniper technical support.
The program teaches content from the two key courses listed below:
Introduction to Junos Operating System
The course provides a brief overview of the Junos device families and discusses the key architectural components of the software. Key topics include user interface options with a heavy focus on the command-line interface (CLI), configuration tasks typically associated with the initial setup of devices, interface configuration basics with configuration examples, secondary system configuration, and the basics of operational monitoring and maintenance of Junos devices. The course then delves into foundational routing knowledge and configuration examples including general routing concepts, routing policy, and firewall filters.
Juniper Technical Support Fundamentals
This two-day course provides students with the foundational knowledge required to work in a Technical Support Engineer role. This course is for those with no Junos experience and are new to, or interested in pursuing, a Technical Support role. The course summarizes technical support concepts and provides a basic introduction to Juniper products and software. Key topics within this course include technical support concepts, networking, Linux fundamentals, troubleshooting process, soft skills, and basic introduction to Juniper products and software.

- Professional looking for a career change in the networking industry
- High school graduates
Prerequisites
To be successful, students will need the ability to attend all weekly classes, have reliable
internet connection, and possess the excitement to learn about computer networking and Juniper
products and services.
Upon completion of the program, students will receive a 75% off voucher to take
the
JNCIA-Junos
certification
exam and a Networking Career Quick Start badge to share on social media and with
prospective employers.
