This self-paced course is designed for experienced networking professionals with beginner to intermediate knowledge of routing and switching implementations in Junos. This course includes an overview of protocol-independent routing features, load balancing and filter-based forwarding, OSPF, BGP, IP tunneling, and high availability (HA) features. The course then delves switching concepts such as LANs, Layer 2 address learning, bridging, virtual LANs (VLANs), provider bridging, VLAN translation, spanning-tree protocols, and Ethernet Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM). The course wraps up concepts such as MPLS forwarding, the structure of the MPLS header, and configuration and operation of the two main label distribution protocols, RSVP and LDP. This course is based on Junos OS Release 22.1R1.10.

Through lab demonstrations, students can watch how to configure and monitor the Junos OS and monitor basic device operations.

Note: All-Access Training Pass members or those looking to perform hands-on lab exercises should enroll in the equivalent Instructor-Led or On-Demand courses recommended for the JNCIS-SP certification. Students can then subscribe to this free course and take the Voucher Assessment Test to receive a voucher code for their written certification exam.
