This two-day, intermediate-level course teaches students to configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Juniper Mist™ WAN Edge devices deployed in a hub-and-spoke topology. This course summarizes the Juniper Mist full-stack solution and how it aligns with enterprise architecture. It is followed by detailed information and lab exercises regarding the operation, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Juniper Mist WAN Edge devices in software-defined WAN (SD-WAN). This course is based on Juniper Mist™ cloud, which updates biweekly. The labs use the virtual SSR version 6.3.3-40.r2.
Key topics include Enterprise WAN Edge design principles, device onboarding, and basic configuration in the Juniper Mist portal; common configuration tasks and workflows; operational monitoring with application identification; and device maintenance and troubleshooting within Juniper Mist.
Although the course covers the theory of both platforms, the hands-on labs, basic configuration in the Juniper Mist portal, and the common configuration tasks and workflows are performed with Juniper Networks® SSR Series Routers. Juniper Networks® SRX Series Firewalls are covered in lectures only.
