Junos Segment Routing

This three-day course is designed to provide an in-depth introduction to MPLS segment routing, otherwise known as Source Packet Routing in Networking (SPRING). It also includes one additional day’s worth of self-study material. The course focuses on the configuration of Juniper Networks routing and switching devices to support segment routing using MPLS switching. After being introduced to the building blocks of a segment routed network (namely adjacency segment IDs (SIDs), node SID, prefix SIDs and anycast SIDs), students then learn how to use these SIDs to create label-switched paths (LSPs) and tunnels within an MPLS network. This includes the creation of shortest-path LSPs, traffic-engineered SR policies (SR-TE) with static paths, SR-TE with dynamically calculated paths using distributed CSPF, color-based SR-TE policies with inetcolor resolution and Classful Transport resolution, path monitoring with seamless BFD, backup paths with TI-LFA, and multi-topology designs with flex algo. These features are shown for both IS-IS and OSPF. This course is based on Junos OS Release 23.4R1.10. This course is also available On-Demand.
