About this Course

This Web-based training (WBT) is a self-paced course that provides an overview of the ACX Series Universal Access Routers, and describes the procedures required to install and configure the ACX Series devices.

Advanced Data Center Switching (ADCX)

Course Overview

This five-day course provides a comprehensive focus on Juniper Networks data center switching technologies.The first three days are designed to introduce the data center features including zero touch provisioning (ZTP), unified in-service software upgrade (ISSU), multichassis link aggregation (MC-LAG), Mixed Virtual Fabric, and Virtual Chassis Fabric (VCF) and provide students with knowledge of troubleshooting some of the key data center features including MC-LAG, Virtual Chassis, and VCF deployments.The last two days of the course are designed to introduce data center features that are more advanced including IP Fabric, Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) Layer 2 and Layer 3 Gateways, VXLAN with Ethernet VPN (EVPN) signaling, and Data Center Interconnect (DCI) for a VXLAN overlay.

Students will learn to configure and monitor these features on the Junos operating system running on the QFX5100, EX4300, and vMX Series platforms. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and analyzing the mentioned features of the Junos OS. This content is based on Junos OS Release 17.1R1.8.

Advanced Junos Enterprise Routing (AJER)

Course Overview

This four-day course is designed to provide students with the tools required for implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Layer 3 components in an enterprise network. Detailed coverage of OSPF, BGP, class of service (CoS), and multicast is strongly emphasized. The course also exposes students to common troubleshooting commands and tools used to troubleshoot various intermediate to advanced issues. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring the Junos operating system and in monitoring device and protocol operations.

This course uses Juniper Networks vSRX virtual firewall for the hands-on component, but the lab environment does not preclude the course from being applicable to other Juniper hardware platforms running the Junos OS. This course is based on Junos OS Release 15.1X49-D80.

Course Overview

This 18-Module course is designed to provide students with the tools required for implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Layer 3 components in an enterprise network. This two-day course is designed to provide detailed coverage of virtual LAN (VLAN) operations, Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) and VLAN Spanning Tree Protocol (VSTP), authentication and access control for Layer 2 networks, IP telephony features, class of service (CoS) and monitoring and troubleshooting tools and features supported on the EX Series Ethernet Switches. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring and monitoring the Junos operating system and in monitoring device and protocol operations. This course uses Juniper Networks EX 4300 Series Ethernet Switches for the hands-on component, but the lab environment does not preclude the course from being applicable to other Juniper hardware platforms running the Junos OS. Optional lab components are available allowing attendees to perform network management and troubleshooting tasks using Junos Space Network Director 3.0. This course is based on Junos OS Release 17.1R1.8.

Advanced Junos Platform Automation and DevOps (AJAUT)

Course Overview

The three-day AJAUT course gives students a hands-on experience with DevOps, and infrastructure as code (IaC) with devices running the Junos OS. Students will learn the tools needed to operate an open-source DevOps environment. Specifically, students will learn to use Docker, GitLab, Ansible, The Robot Framework, and Jenkins. While learning the tools, students will utilize the tools to build a working DevOps project using two Juniper vMX devices.
This course uses Junos OS Release 17.3R1, PyEZ 2.1, Python 2.7, Git 2.17, and Ansible 2.4.
